Prayer is a priviledge. The Scriptures inform us that we can, "with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16)." Prayer is an amazing and unparralled opportunity that God grants us, but unfortunately, it is often taken for granted. Believing in the power of prayer, we seek to be a community that would "pray without ceasing" and "give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for us (I Thessalonians 5:16-18).

PRAYING FOR THE BODY and FOR OUR NEIGHBORS

We will gather to pray for guidance, wisdom, discernment in ministry, power in ministry, boldness in witness, fruitfulness, unity, devotion, joy in tribulation, fullness in the spirit, love for Father, Son and Holy Spirit, love for one another and neighbors, humility, purity, holiness, faithfulness, repentance of sins, submission to elders, Spirit filled leadership, etc….. We pray this way in hope that Ephesians 3:16-19 would be fulfilled among us. “that according to the riches of his glory he may grant us to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in our inner being, so that Christ may dwell in our hearts through faith—that we, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that we may be filled with all the fullness of God.” And, we will pray for the salvation of unbelievers in our neighborhoods and the advancement of the Kingdom in Canoga Park, West Hills, Woodland Hills, Winnetka, and Granada Hills neighborhoods. Our heart’s desire and prayer to God for our neighbors is that they may be saved. We know that “there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance” (Luke 15:7). We have faith “that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ…that (we) may make it clear” (Colossians 4:3-4).

PRAYING FOR REQUESTS/NEEDS

During these times of prayer, we will also pray for any requests and needs presented throughout the week or by those present. We will collectively intercede on behalf of one another according to the will of God. The word of God commands us; “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:5-7).
